I'm being told that I don't update this blog thing enough so I'm trying to make more of an effort to "get my blog on" as the kids are saying these days. (The kids aren't really saying that.) Now the problem with me and staying consistent with my blog is the fact that I rarely feel like I have anything to talk about. I mean sure, I tend to go on random angry rants when you talk to me in person, but all that stuff just makes it seem like I'm bitching when I actually write it out. Then I remembered that this latest episode of Mad Men entitled "The Other Woman" really rocked my world.

*I hearby give the official Spoiler Warning*

Holy crap!!! So Joan really just let some sleazy, greasy, bloated, and hairy dude sleep with her for a share of the company huh? I never in a million years thought a tv show would be able to make me feel the kinds of awkward I felt watching this whole deal go down, which is exactly how I know this episode was effective.

This plot point of the episode was a topic of discussion at work today between Heather, Intern Christina, and myself and I was shocked at their lack of reaction to Joan being a prostitute for a company. In fact Heather even went as far to say "I didn't think what happened with Joan was a big deal. I was more interested in the fact that Peggy left the company."

So I'm over here ranting and raving about how shocked and dissapointed I was while the females are all willy nilly about the whole thing. This makes me wonder if most females would do the same thing. Did Joan really earn her share of SCDP? I'd love to hear from the ladies about their position on this issue.
